How we made the examples realistic
Each scenario starts with a defined property, DC system size and scope. We allow for VAT, panels, inverter, mounting, standard protections, labour and ordinary certification/legalisation work, then vary access, battery and electrical complexity. Exact contractor prices will differ.
EUR/kWp is useful only when scopes are equivalent. A battery, backup gateway, scaffolding, trench, switchboard replacement or premium mounting system can make a good quote look expensive under a crude division.
Rules for the future observed-price index
- Remove names, contact details, CUPS and exact addresses.
- Record quote date, municipality, system size, battery, VAT and inclusions.
- Verify that totals and equipment can be read from the submitted document.
- Separate modelled examples from observed quotes at all times.
- Do not rank an installer from one quote.
- Publish medians or ranges only when the sample is large enough to avoid identifying a household.
- Show sample size and collection period beside every statistic.

Compare exact panel and inverter models, DC and AC power, annual-production basis, self-consumption assumption, battery usable capacity, backup scope, mounting, access, electrical remedial work, municipal process, CIE, registration, warranty labour and payment milestones.
