Transparency Policy

Referral & Affiliate Disclosure

Last Updated: June 21, 2026. We believe in 100% transparency regarding our commercial operations. Learn how we generate revenue.

Our Commitment: Our commercial model guarantees that we will never recommend a poor installer just to earn a fee. We only partner with qualified, insured professionals who satisfy our consumer vetting checklist.

How We Earn Referral Fees

Costa Solar Guide is a free information portal for property owners in Málaga. To support research, write guides, and host tools, we charge our vetted installer partners a fee when we match them with qualified leads:

  • Qualified Lead Fee: When we introduce a customer who is actively looking for a quote, the installer pays us a flat introduction fee as part of their marketing cost. This fee is paid by the installer and does not increase the price you are quoted.
  • Success Fee: If a customer accepts a quote and completes an installation with one of our partner installers, the installer pays us a flat success fee from their marketing budget. You are not charged any additional amount.
  • Electricity Tariff Referral: If we help a customer review their electricity tariff after installation, the supplier may pay us a standard switching fee if a switch occurs. This is a standard industry arrangement and does not affect the rates you are quoted.

Does this increase your quote price?

No. Absolutely not.

Our partner installers pay our referral fees from their internal marketing budgets. Because our pre-vetting and bill audits save them significant sales time, they are willing to work within our referral model.

Our partner terms require installers not to add our referral fee as a separate charge to your quote. You should receive the same (and often more competitive) pricing as you would approaching them directly, with the added protection of our independent review.

Our Vetting Guidelines

We only introduce you to installers who meet our strict quality checklist:

  • Hold active civil liability insurance (responsabilidad civil).
  • Are registered authorised electrical installers (electricistas autorizados).
  • Use reputable tier-one hardware brands with manufacturer backing.
  • Agree to handle the complete local permit and industrial legalisation process.
  • Maintain a local office or service technician in Málaga province.
