Terms of Use

Last Updated: June 21, 2026. Please read these terms carefully before using the Costa Solar Guide website.

1. Scope of Service

Costa Solar Guide provides independent information, comparisons, and quote review guides regarding solar panels, battery storage, and electricity tariffs in Spain.

We are not a solar installer. We do not sell or install electrical hardware, and we do not issue official building certifications or engineering plans. Any agreement or contract you sign for installation works is strictly between you and your chosen installer partner.

2. Installer Independence & Disclaimer

Vetted installers introduced through this site are completely independent businesses. Costa Solar Guide holds no control over their pricing, schedules, warranties, installation quality, or post-sales service.

We are not liable for any damages, roof leaks, electrical failures, billing delays, or commercial disputes arising from your relationship with an installer introduced through this website. We encourage all property owners to perform their own due diligence, review installer insurance policies, and read warranty agreements thoroughly before signing.

3. No Guarantee of Performance or Savings

Any solar production estimates, billing offset projections, or payback schedules provided on our pages, tools, or emails are simulation estimates only. Actual solar performance varies based on daily weather, panel cleanliness, shading changes (e.g. tree growth), actual household consumption patterns, and modifications to utility export regulations.

4. Lead Generation & Referral Fees

By requesting a solar quote or installer introduction, you understand that Costa Solar Guide may receive a referral, lead generation, or introduction fee from partner installers. These fees are paid by the installer as a marketing expense and do not increase the price you are quoted. Our service is completely free to property owners.

5. Data Retrieval (CUPS & SIPS)

If you provide your CUPS (Código Universal de Punto de Suministro) number, you authorise Costa Solar Guide and/or our partner, weSwitchSpain, to securely query the Spanish electricity distributor database (SIPS) to retrieve your historical consumption data, contracted power, and tariff details. This data is strictly used for the purpose of analysing solar suitability, reviewing quotations, and comparing tariffs, and is not sold to third parties.

6. User Obligations

When uploading electricity bills, quotations, or submitting a CUPS number for review, you warrant that you are the legal owner or authorized representative of the property in question, and that the documents and details provided are authentic and accurate.

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Málaga, Spain.
